Barbados’ first lifestyle development is on course to open its doors for December 2010. This was the announcement of Paul Altman the developer for the 10 acre property on Barbados exclusive west coast.
With approximately BDS $100 million in investment on the development which is set to bring a hype of activity to the Holetown area, the renowned property developer highlighted the uniqueness of Limegrove to the real estate market in Barbados. He indicated that it offers a whole lifestyle; activity to be involved in and things to do, which is unlike any other development across the island so far.
The design of the project is intended to bring 56 townhouses to the area, but moreover it is to bring major international brands to the space. With 80 per cent of tenants already signed on to the commercial space, the lifestyle centre will be home to Cartier one of the world’s finest jewelers,, Louis Vuitton, Quiksilver, Bobby Brown, Le Mar and many others all on course for the commercial space. In fact it is the commercial space that is being used to set the pace for development of the residential component of the project.
But it’s not just the simple retail space that will play an intricate role at Limegrove. As noted by Altman in a media tour of the area recently, the new development will also host many different activities throughout the year. Altman explained that the 10 acre space will house three courtyards all with different themes such as the Zen garden and the Caribbean courtyard which will host different activities. Some vendors will also be welcomed in the lifestyle community as they too can provide easy shopping for residents and users of Limegrove.
There will also be an office space dedicated to the fashion association which as Altman indicated that is to help in that sectors’ development. The Zen courtyard will also feature a catwalk for fashion shows to held in the space.
Two cinemas, a large nightclub and over 300 parking spaces are also en route for the lifestyle centre. These are all set to attract trendy and active people who want to live at Limegrove and those who simply want to take advantage of the bustling lifestyle in the community.
