One of the largest real estate projects on the exclusive west coast of Barbados is still a go and furthermore the units for the property are currently on sale.
This is the news from the real estate firm Terra Caribbean on Beachlands one of the major projects set to begin construction at the beginning of 2010.
Local media were informed about the Beachlands development in the opening of 2009 and news on the project since then has been hard to come by. But now buyers for the property should soon know the prices of the units. Those prices for the Beachlands units should prove to be interesting as developers claim to have the largest floorspace on the west coast for the best price.
The selling for the property was not available in January this year, when the developers were only recording interest. The property sits on over 4 and half acres of prime west coast land. It will feature 46 apartments ranging in size of 3,158 square feet up to 5,922 sq. feet. The developers have put one of their major goals is retaining a lot of the natural vegetation of the property. 
Beachlands uniqueness comes with its offerings of four and five bedroom apartments and hotel like facilities. It has been explained by the property developers that investors who were looking for a villa in the past and could not find anything big enough for them now has the opportunity to invest in the Beachlands property. It is estimated that on completion, the property will employ between 80 to 50 people depending on the time of year.
That is apart from the actual build itself.” The Lewis Trust Group (LTG) the owners of the property has property in 12 countries, they own the Ritz Carlton Palm Beach Florida. Mason however pointed out that the family has been coming to the west coast of Barbados for years. Beachlands will be the first Caribbean development for LTG. Early in 2009, it was estimated that the project would to be completed at the early 2013. The lead local construction firm for the project will be Jada Construction. The apartments will be outfitted with the some the most high end features which have both the classical and modern finishes.
